24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur
 It's on again

It's on again

It's all about to start again.

With your help, last year the Macarthur community raised $175,000 for the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre and the Palliative Care Unit at Camden Hospital.

This Friday, 2008 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur will be launched.

With the goal of raising enough money to treat children with cancer in Macarthur, chairman Fred Bord and deputy chairperson Sue McGarrity need all teams to register their support for this year's event.

Ms McGarrity said this year's event at the Campbelltown Athletics Stadium will be a step-up from last year.

"This cause really matters to Macarthur people – to help those having treatment right now or to honour someone that they have lost," she said.

"Put the 18th and 19th of October in your diary.

"It's going to be huge."

The Advertiser will cover the event all the way until October, and will even be present on the day with Team Advertiser.

We're hoping to raise $20,000 this year.

How about you?
