THE fourth annual Miss Warradale pageant is calling for entrants from girls aged three and up.
The competition, split into five categories, aims to give girls from the Warragamba district a sense of pride in the community and to raise funds for Warradale Wigwam before and after school care.
Organiser Belinda Griffiths said the competition began four years ago when she was looking for different ways to get young women to support the community.
``It's a great way for young girls of the Warragamba area to get involved and raise needed funds,'' she said.
Entrants will be asked to state what they like or dislike about the area by way of a song, dance or speech.
The winner will be crowned on Saturday, October 18.
The Warragamba Workers' Club will provide members for the judging panel, a dinner and cake as well as a crowning ceremony.
The Miss Golden Dollar prize will go the entrant who raises the most funds for the after school care centre.
Competition entrants will be at Dam Fest 2008 at the Warragamba Dam Picnic Area on October 19. Activities on the day will include billy cart races, Miss Warradale Quest, car and bike shows, an aerobatic display, live entertainment, stalls, rides and displays.
