INVESTIGATORS have yet to determine the cause of a fire which destroyed a house in Pheasants Nest last week.

It took 25 firefighters and five tankers from Wollondilly Rural Fire Service 2 hours to put out the fire.

Operations manager for Wollondilly RFS Dennis McTaggart said the fire was fanned by strong winds from the south-west.

Arina Road was closed for the duration of the fire-fighting operation.

The NSW Fire Brigades was also present.

The NSW RFS fire investigation team will help police to determine the cause of the fire.
