MATT Benson needs more fingers and toes to count the number of locals who count on him.

The Tahmoor butcher owns Beno's Family Meats and has been working in the industry for 15 years.

He now supports many local sport clubs and organisations that regularly ask him for help when they are fund-raising.

``If they ask and we can help then we'll look after them,'' he said.

``Mum died of cancer 15 years ago and my wife's dad a couple of years ago. So we also try and help the Cancer Council as much as we can.''

Mr Benson said he loved working in Wollondilly because he was so close to his family and friends.

``We have heaps of regular customers and some still travel from Bonyrigg where we used to own a shop,'' he said. ``We just try to keep everyone happy.''

Beno's Family Meats supports Tahmoor Lions Club, Wollondilly Rugby Club, Picton Bowling Club, Tahmoor Cricket Club, Cystic Fibrosis NSW, Thirlmere Public School, St Anthony's Catholic School, Picton Swimming Club, Tahmoor Soccer Club and the Community CareFlight Day.
