A MAN and his puppets had many under his spell last week when he came to Picton during the school holidays.

Award-winning puppeteer Dennis Murphy was at the Wollondilly Shire Hall on Thursday to share his adventure story puppet show.

Library officer George Konstanta said Mr Murphy was very funny.

``He he told lots of jokes aimed at adults as well as children which was nice for the mums and dads,'' she said.

``He was very engaging and entertaining.''

The puppet show was part of the Wollondilly Library and Information Service's school holiday program.
