ILLAWARRA Rugby third grade minor premiers Wollondilly White Waratahs fell at the final hurdle in their grand final against Avondale.

The Waratahs lost 19-10, only their third loss for the entire season at Ricoh Rugby Park, Shoalhaven.

In their previous encounter, the Waratahs won 10-0 in a tight game against Avondale but they could not repeat the feat in the grand final.

Avondale led 14-0 at half-time and although the Waratahs rallied in the second half with two tries from Dean Ingenhoff, it was not enough to win the premiership.
